How about this for a job?
Twice a year we travel to Malasia, Indonesia and Singapur to find the best canes to be processed in Argentina.
We must reach remote locations near the jungle.
Canes grow far in the mountains.
When monkeys eat the fruit, their remainders fall on the ground as seeding for a new plant to grow.
Trials have been made to artificially grow the plant but the results have failed to live up to expentations.
Harvesters must travel for 15 days into the jungle to find the canes.
(Seems as though they make polo sticks, by the way. But I wonder if they do special orders?).

ack… canes are scary! i was hoping your post would be about people hunting down canes and destroying them.
Very scary on occasions, particularly when one is swishing just behind my properly presented botty… but a world without them would mean about 75% of my fantasies would vanish in a puff of disappearing rattan! Not the end of the world but it would take me a while to replace them, hmmm… that could be fun actually!
And what, pray, Persephone, do you think would happen to a girl who destroyed a cane…?

Haron was caned over my knee last night (something of an experiment, this being almost impossible angle-wise). The two of you are tempting me to wield the rattan again later today in a more conventional way…

abel, thank you for the plug, that is an honor! and i personally would never destroy a cane, of course!
i am a very good girl, and i have never seen one anyway. if i were in a position to destroy one at any time, i certainly would not bring it up on your own blog, knowing your fondness for them.
