Abel and Haron's Spanking Blog
Those of you in the UK may have caught the BBC’s fantastic New Year’s Day production of “Wind in the Willows”. Fortunately we had glasses of wine to hand when the main characters, plotting a raid to reclaim Toad Hall, armed themselves with staffs and raised a toast:
“To the proper handling of sticks!”
Needless to say, we joined in enthusiastically. As a motto for the year ahead, it seemed rather appropriate.
Haron had ‘enjoyed’ her first 2007 experience of the proper handling of rattan shortly after midnight. Rob made a wonderful suggestion in a comment in reply to my post about Haron’s Christmas day caning that we might bring the new year in with a dozen strokes, one per second counting down to the chime of Big Ben. We had company as midnight struck, and the TV pictures of the astonishing fireworks display on the Thames then kept us enraptured – but as soon as we were left to ourselves, we conducted our belated kinky celebration.
My young lady was told that she could choose her cane; she disappeared upstairs, returning with the longest, thickest, heaviest rod in the house – our Singapore rattan, bought more with curiosity than intent. Even the lightest stroke resulted in a spectacular response, and a delightful stripe; the twelfth and hardest engendered a yelp that the crowds in London could surely have heard 200+ miles away!
Here’s wishing all of you a joyful, healthy and prosperous 2007, filled with every kinky happiness.

Oh I’m so pleased I was able to be of help!! Can’t say that I would have chosen the same cane that Haron did, (can’t even imagine having to go and select one – that’s done for me) but you guys are more seasoned than me, so I best not speak too soon lest I have to eat my words – again. I actually came across a blog that makes all of us put together look pretty tame and I have had quite the education in the past few days……
An official Happy New Year to everybody, and to Jamie and Jo, welcome More kids to play with; Y E S!!!!!!

Great idea, Rob!
Happy New Year all of you, guys! (We had a vanilla celebration and the most delightful one at that with our college friends from the former USSR who are way on the way to achieving the American dream, so J. and I will try to make up for the lack of backside soreness tonight.)

Amber: Having spent a good part of last semester exploring ‘the American dream’ via ‘The Great Gatsby’ I am wondering, does it mean the same thing these days as it used it mean???? My time there was in the North-East, so perhaps that’s a whole other thing to your part of the States. (There must be thousands of Americans reading this…come on guys..we won’t tell anybody if you proffer your opinion….Pinky promise!!)

Abel and Haron, please forgive the long, non-kinky post.
As I understand it, the American dream is “making it” regardless your descent and background. It can mean a whole lot of different things:
For X,Y, and Z – the former USSR friends, it means:
-American BA and MBA education
-Stable job in the corporate America (the country is so wealthy that they can get paid just for counting it).
-A suburban condo.
-A nice car and all kinds of gadgets they didn’t know back home.
For J it means yet something else:
-Good liberal arts education
-Owning land
-Owning a large home to fill with kids.
-Send kids to the private school.
-Grow food.
-Have a meaningful employment.
-Start a college and more schools.
As to me, I dream simply. Now all I need is a thicker, thuddier cane.

I’m with you Amber. I’ve got more fun out of such simple pastimes and pleasures than anything else that I can think of. But imagine trying to explain that component of the American Dream to a class of high school students!!

There was an article in The Times today about British students heading over to the US for their undergraduate studies. A few such were pictured in cheerleading uniforms. Funny that – it seemed to fit very well with my own American dreams, which also seem to involve large wooden paddles.

Which, the paddles, are darn hot in every sense of the word! Was just gonna post about one of my new large wooden paddles but got busy. Check in later.
