Interesting though - you never repeat a scene once played? It would be a fascinating experiment though, don't you think? Even if you set out with the same initial scenario, I bet it would never actually evolve quite the same; never would actually be a carbon copy? Not with 2 (or more) people involved; different day, different moods and dynamics in play perhaps? I vote for a rerun next Easter to test the theory - with full reporting on what happens of course ;-) I would find it incredibly hard to pick a favourite amongst them too! That way she could write about them with a fresh perspective, and it might help Spankable to decide on her favourite! (Actually, it makes me ponder that for us, a scene, once played, is never repeated in the same way - no matter how hot it was. Oh, the fun of coming up with new variations on the themes, though!) The reformatory scene contained a birching which is a serious plus point, and also alfresco spanking which is another major plus point. On the other hand parental punishment scenes like that really push my buttons and I loved how the girls tried so hard to help each other through them; and I entirely agree with Rob about the switch in the headmaster from kindly and understanding to knees-knockingly angry being just brilliant - those poor girls! Can I call it a tie between the first and third? That's about as close as I can get to picking a favourite, and it makes my heart bleed to leave out the second like that! My favourite has to be the last one - the school scene. I loved the way it evolved - from a little thing to a big thing - from the headmaster being generous and understanding to bloody lethal - punishing them for "taking him as a fool"!! I laughed when Martha hugged the wall trying to get away from that swinging cane as it came down on Alice, but soon found myself again quietly murmuring "Oh my God, oh my God" as I read it to the finish.
