Proper Discipline at Hogwarts

I suppose, everybody has already seen the newest trailer for “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”? I’m a bit late catching up after my trip, but…

Watch the stretch from 0:30 to 0:38 (or, if your screen is counting down, 1:43 to 1:35), and tell me this isn’t the kinkiest bit of film you’ve ever seen.

It’s a shame it’s only his head though… This got me thinking again about discipline at Hogwarts! I’m still convinced that, in a school that was founded hundreds of years ago, cp must have been used. :)

I’d say the punishment Harry suffers in this book by Umbrage is pretty corporal… even if it isn’t spanking. And I got a jolt in the first book when Harry thought he was going to get caned… even if it was a false alarm.

Lady, that was a magic wand or something? I mean, a magic cane?

Kate – somebody should write that in a fanfic. Somebody totally should.

Megs – it was corporal punishment alright; I thought I’d melt reading it. Watching it in the movie will be… ooooh.

Amber – a magic stick of some kind, that’s for sure 😉

Can’t wait to watch the movie… But wait… what fun is there in caning if you can’t see the cane :)?

Quite right, Amber. That’s why every copy of the final book is being shipped with a free cane when it’s issued in a month or two’s time, so that every reader can relive the authentic experience of Hermione being dealt with by Snape in the final chapter.
