I don't really like the way that her kink seems to be presented as a consequence of her past problems, rather than as being something healthy and wholesome in its own right. I worry that the movie may therefore heighten the prejudices and strengthen the misunderstandings of non-spankos towards those of us who share this kink. Then again, it has some hot moments, some great dialogue, some excellent acting - and I'm sure it must have persuaded some viewers to recognise and act on their inner desires. At last someone had the guts to tackle the subject matter. ---------- But speaking of Maggie Gyllenhaal-------- I found this interview on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mrXJlGR7GY) a month or so ago and bloged about it myself. I thought, is was interesting and I wanted to share it -although, you all may already be familiar with this clip. I think Maggie is so cute and her facial expressions are rather telling. I just wonder how tuned into her submissiveness she is, in her day-to-day life.
