Snape Dispences Punishment

Well then, it’s been over two weeks since the last Harry Potter book came out, so I won’t feel bad about discussing it a little bit. I’ll be nice, though, and place my kinky dreamings about Snape and his cane below the fold. Don’t click it if you don’t want spoilers.
Still here? Excellent.
I have two things to discuss.
1. OK, fess up. Whose book falls open on the page 245 of the British edition, which has the following lines of dialogue:
‘What happened to Ginny and the others? The ones who tried to steal [the sword of Gryffindor from Snape’s office]?’
‘Oh, they were punished, and cruelly.’
I know I’m not the only one who was unduly excited by this episode, even if the punishment itself turned out profoundly disappointing.
2. I think it’s really time for the first batch of fan-fiction of Snape’s year as the supposedly evil Headmaster of Hogwarts. Anybody seen any yet?
Surely, he had to cane people for their own good, if only to save them from being Crucioed by the Death Munchers. I really need some fanfics of that pretty soon.
-------Now you can buy a book of the best entries from "The Spanking Writers".
I have to agree with you, Haron. Where’s the fanfiction? I know one site that has a lot of fanfiction, and it’s mugglenet dot com (oh dear, what about the spam filter?) but I haven’t had a good look at any fanfiction about Snape’s cane. Would you consider the Crucio curse corporal punishment, though? I mean, it causes a hell of a lot of physical pain, and it’s meant as a punishment, right? Still, I don’t know. I don’t consider a wand a real implement…
Right, and wasn’t there talk of whips and chains at Hogwarts in book five? We can have some of that too please.
I think Crucio would definitely fall in to super “squick” land. I’m sure even the tops of the world would agree since it doesn’t involve anyone bending over, or holding position, or for that matter being held down over anyone’s lap… I have to concede that it would technically qualify as corporal punishment… so maybe it falls into a torture kink? Definitely not in the spanking kink though. Fortunately most of us are muggles so the issue probably won’t arise.
I’ll have to look up the reference, but there’s a picture in Dumbledore’s office of a former headmistress whose wand looked like a birch rod. She said something about “persuading” Phineas to help.
Mmmm, birch rod.
I’m so glad other people picked up on that, I thought mabey I just had a oddly kinky mind!
I definitely can’t see Crucio as corporal punishment. Not any old causing of pain can be corporal punishment - it has to be way more controlled and sane than the causing of extreme, non-localised pain.
I’m sure Snape would see it that way, too, and would do his foremost to protect the students from that.
I wish I wasn’t so bad at finding good fanfics…
Haron - I can’t believe you really haven’t found any Snape fan-fiction! Perhaps you should write some??
Er, yes, given that I knew by your reference to page 245 what you were referring to before you even said, I fess that that particular bit definitely did it for me
And yes, v disappointing to hear what the punishment turned out to be, big anticlimax!
I’m convinced JK has the kink, there is a reference of some kind in every book!
I solemnly swear that if I find some (which is highly likely, given the fanfic circles I run in) I shall send you the links!
xx Dee
Martha - It’s too early for Snape as Headmaster stories to have sprung up yet, but I hope they will in time. I don’t think JKR has the kink, but nice of her to insert all these innocent spanking references for us.
“Fred’s right buttock has never been the same” is my favourite.
Dee - oh yes, please, do!
If it’s a cane/crop etc. wielding Snape you’re after, please do check out my stories on http://www.adultfanfiction.net in the Snape/OFC section.
The first one I wrote ‘Illicit Material’ concerns a student whose contraband copy of ‘The Story of O’ is confiscated by the Professor in question, and covers some interesting disciplinary consequences. It is the first story of four, so if you like it, there is plenty more to follow.
Thanks for reading - and for this delicious site.

Aaaah, thank you, Sheherazade. That’s exactly what I’m after. Snape and canes. Canes and Snape. Mmmmm.
Ah, Snape with a Cane. So much more satisfying than Snakes on a Plane…
LOL I saw a funny LiveJournal avatar on that subject, where Samuel L. Jackson was saying to Harry: “I need your help! Do you speak Parseltongue?”
