‘Thai singer denies affair with Thaksin’, proclaimed a local paper in Singapore last week. The story was helpfully illustrated with a photograph of Saranrat Withustthithada, the amazingly cute 20-year-old in question being hugged by the gentleman concerned. (Miss “…-hit-harder”? Really?!!!).

The report explained (my italics):
‘A popular Thai singer denied yesterday that she had any sexual relations with former prime minister, and said she calls him “Dad” because of the moral support he gives her.’
ROFL.
Any speculative comments would be entirely inappropriate. (Billionaire former prime ministers doubtless have very good lawyers).

Oh, I’m sure it’s all quite innocent.
NOT!!
I should explain the gentleman’s lawyers that the phrase ‘NOT’ in Hermione’s previous comment is shorthand for the phrase “Nice Old Thaksin” and does not in any way question the integrity of the couple’s explanation. Not that they are a ‘couple’ per se, of course. In any way other than being just good friends. We wouldn’t dream of suggesting anything else.
I have nothing unincriminating to say… I’ve tried to think of something and failed so shall keep my opinions to myself!
LOL Sarah’s a scaredy-cat!
Tee hee if they imposed floggings in Thai women’s prisons for libel, we’d be inundated with all sorts of allegations…
If the film Broke Down Palace is anything to go by they do beat people in Thai prisons. Though wouldn’t recommend presidential allegations to find out- looked pretty grim on the whole!
Chloe - I might give it a miss. Mr Thaksin, if you’re reading: I’m a huge admirer of everything you get up to. Sorry, I mean, have achieved.
