Indy - no, you got me pegged just right - I just thought I'd better hide my predilections, well at least some of the time!

It's really interesting for me to go from blog to blog now to see how everyone's coping! As for me, it's usually this time of the week I'd be turning my thoughts to my piece for my standard Saturday...

As it is, I've even lost inspiration for my own pieces on IC at the moment. Writer's block could never have been so well-timed.

But I couldn't agree more about the legacy of friendships - and it's interesting to read what my colleagues learned from the whole experience too!

Great summing-up, Haron :-) I found it hard to adapt to this new writing style initially too, and was certainly guilty of the over-long post at times (Beth's 5,000 word prefects' council experience being my all-time corker in this respect!). The discipline of writing regularly and to deadline was also tough but immensely rewarding. It feels so strange not having anything to write this week! But Winterbrook Hall will soon be keeping me occupied in that respect, and hopefully some of my lessons learnt at Lowewood will stand me in good stead for that.

This was a great post and really summed up the traumas....and the good bits!

I've learnt a lot from writing for lowewood - mostly about how to subsume my own ego for the greater good, although I didn't alway manage it. Plus the discipline of writin, in my case, twice a week for three years was hard.

But at the end of the day, we have made and forged friendships that will last for ever and created some great characters. And that's what I'll take away with me!

"Speaking of an ego: when you're co-writing in a big group, it's essential to remember that you're all creating a long work together, as opposed to it being just you writing some stories in the same world as your mates."

Ah, yes - that was the one I always had trouble with .

Thanks, Haron, both for all your Lowewood writings over the past three years and for this fascinating post. I really don't know how any of you managed the post-a-week requirement at all, much less at the remarkable level of quality you achieved. If there's a pay site on the internet that comes close to what you lot offered free of charge, I haven't found it.

Turns out I had you incorrectly pegged for Miss Golding-- there simply wasn't enough bondage in her posts for me to think it was LittleNic... (Sorry, Nic, if I'm reading too much into the episode with Alex and his ties, which was, er, rather memorable)

I'll definitely miss your characters, especially Violet, and I'm sorry we never got to see Melody Quinn in the 6th form. :-) But I'm glad you writers will get a chance to explore other creative projects and I look forward to reading the results as they're unveiled.

Hugs,
Indy

You should be so proud of what you've achieved. I've loved all your characters, especially how different they all were. But Ned was probably my favourite. Especially when he was on the receiving end of the CP ;)

Thank you so much for your writing at Lowewood. From a reader's perspective, you succeeded fabulously in all your list of demands above and I shall miss your characters hugely.

I'm sorry to see it go too. But thanks, Haron, for describing the restrictions and guidelines. That was so interesting. You followed them very well, as did your co-authors. It was a magnificent work.

I never knew you were three characters.

While I'm sad to see Lowewood end, it has been interesting to finally read about the behind-the-scenes aspects of creating such an impressive project. I've often wondered at the logistics of it all, not to mention who the writers behind all the characters actually are.

Thanks for your hard work and compelling writing. Sylvie, Ned and Violet were awesome! We'll all miss them.
