Abel's spanking blog & stories
The article in the Daily Mail from which I’ve chosen the photos in my two previous posts contained one more fabulous image:

Lift attendants in 1928 at Selfridges in London’s Oxford Street, apparently.
Now, what a test of our collective kinky imaginations. For we need to work out how these young ladies have attracted punishment – given that I’m sure that at least one of them is quietly wiping away tears when no-one’s noticing.
I’m going with an irate – and very rich – customer complaining of having been taken to the wrong floor on two occasions by a particular girl. A hand-strapping by the supervisor (seen in the background of the photograph) would result.
But I’m sure there must be other scenarios, too. How and why would they have been dealt with. Any ideas?

They had been having races in the lifts to see who could get from the bottom floor to top in quickest time, and, caught by the manager, the instigator of the game owned up. All the girls got a hand strapping, but our ring leader got called to the manager’s office for something rather more painful.
Needless to say, lift racing as a sport was not so popular after that day.

During one of the day’s particularly busy times the supervisor noticed one girl’s lift had stopped between floors for over 15 minutes.
Unfortunately for our poor girl, the Supervisor stood waiting on the next floor when the door to the lift finally opened, revealing the girl with her clothes disheveled and a young man still straightening his tie.
The poor girl was marched straight to the supervisor’s office for a most emphatic lesson on proper behavior for a young lady, with an extra dose to remind her that that sort of behavior would be especially not tolerated on the job.
And worst of all? When she returned to her post a quiet and remorseful girl, the others offered her no sympathy for they had been forced to work doubly hard during her tryst and subsequent punishment to service the line of customers waiting for a lift.
