Welcome to SpankingCast, our spanking podcast

We’re very excited to unveil our new project today: SpankingCast, our very own podcast on our favourite topic: spanking, spanking and more spanking.

If you don’t know what a podcast is, allow us to explain: essentially, it’s an audio blog. We record an audio track and publish it on the blog, and you can download it and listen to it on your MP3 player. It’s that simple.

We’ll notify you of new episodes here on The Spanking Writers; eventually we hope that our feed will be accepted by iTunes, which is another great way of subscribing. (We’ll let you know when that happens.)

In the meantime, we give you SpankingCast Episode 1: “Into spanking”.

SpankingCast cover artWelcome to the first episode of SpankingCast, hosted by Abel and Haron, two of the web’s best-known writers of spanking erotica.

In this debut episode, Abel muses about tolerance and acceptance of kink in society, quoting Matthew Syed from The Times.

I’m very impressed guys well done. Felt a little weird at first to hear Abel’s voice in my sitting room, but think that was just cos I kept expecting to hear the ‘now young lady go and fetch a cane’ order!

Can’t wait to hear the next one :)

Abel takes rather a lot of delight in saying “spanking,” it seems to me.

Agreed, Molly B, there’s a great deal of relish when he says the word spanking! Looking forward to hearing the next one.

Very cool! It was nice to hear your voice, abel. Took me a few minutes to get past the accent though :)
And I agree with the others about the “spanking” word. I noticed that too.

    Wow. That was really cool.

Although I love reading the blog there’s something different about hearing your intonation in your voice. It gives the words extra depth.

I can’t place your accent though. I think Cumbria or Lancashire (sp?) or somewhere close maybe with something else mixed in.

I agree with what you are saying about other people’s standards of what is correct and moral. I have my morals for myself but its not useful for me to impose these on someone else or them to impose their morals on me.

I’m looking forward to hearing more of your podcasts.

Very good!! So much fun to hear your voice after reading your blog and stories for such a long time. I was just imagining you saying…..’bend over young lady’…..smiles.
Best wishes on your future podcasts!

I’m very impressed by those of you who’ve deduced my north-western origins from my accent. Liverpudlian, with a dose of refinement from a southern mother and a decent public school, for those who’ve wondered… I wonder which of those makes me pronounce ‘spanking’ with such evident glee?

Thanks for all the kind comments – we’re both glad you all like our new little scheme.

When I first started reading Abel, I had more or less the same picture of him in my head as I had for Lucius Malfoy (who looks very different in my imagination than in the films). I’d just come to terms with the fact that he looks nothing like Mr Malfoy and now I find he doesn’t sound like him either?!

Oh, well, I’m sure the essence is still there! 😉

Seriously, I do like your new little scheme!

So where I live, I think I’m the only one for ten miles in each direction with the ability to make out Abel’s accent, and even so I got jumpy each time he said ‘spanking’ with such fervor. And volume.

Congrats on the new project, you two!

I’m very pleased to finally listen to a spanking podcast. A few years ago, I started a thread on another forum asking if anyone had heard of a spanking podcast. Of the few people that even knew what a podcast was, no one knew of a spanking oriented podcast. I look forward to hearing future podcasts. Thank you for this service.

I know, Spankingaddict – I’ve been patiently waiting for a spanking podcast for years. In the end, we just had to start our own :)

That was fantastic, congratulations. Likewise, I have always enjoyed listening to the spoken thoughts of others and I am glad you have started this for yourselves, there is very little of it about. In the four years that I have been recording proses, stories and interviews, they have always proven to be a much enjoyed part of my website, and I wish you as much success with yours as well.

In fact you have now given me the inspiration to add a few more as I have not recorded one in a while now. I look forward to listening to your future podcast entries.

    Richard Windsor.

I thought that this was likely to be helpful to those who still feel edgy about spanking and CP. The problem I still have with this is the label of ‘kink’ which you refer to in the cast and the text. Those of us who indulge in spanking really need to view it as a natural social activity between consenting people. It’s hardly extreme if it was part of mainstream education in many countries for so long. Tolerance, which you promote, is the way forward just as it has been for same-sex couples, but that took a long time and there are still many who don’t accept. So we need to keep plugging away, get some celebs to ‘come out’, and develop the idea of spanking podcasts.
