OK, I’ve given in to those of you who thought the background image on the new(ish) blog layout was too gaudy – and, of more concern, that the words in the border distracted from the words in the posts.
It gave me an excuse for an hour’s browsing for covers for old punishment books, anyway. Hope it meets with slightly more universal approval.

Actually prefer this border..but the full effect of all those book covers are a lovely sight….could it be because I’m a sucker for old battered labels…or could it be the word punishment repeated soooo many times…gulp..
I loved the previous background. I like this one as well. Both beautiful in different ways.
I really like this new background much better. The previous one was too glaring for my taste.
