A cheeky little number?

With a giggle, I started scribbling down the descriptions given to various bottles by a wine merchant recently:

  • “Daring, robust and bold”
  • “Fine, aged and austere”
  • “Voluptuous, lush and decadent”
  • “Rounded and supple”
  • “Will improve with age”
  • “Serious; rather stern”
  • “Cheeky, insolent and fun”
  • “Perfect for a fun evening in”

The first four are true, but you can see why I thought that more suggestions were necessary. Any oenophiles out there care to suggest any other should-be-true wine descriptions?

So I googled “wine descriptions” and found a random generator for wine reviews. Some of the best:
    – sweet and desperate
    – pretty but equally limp
    – Well focused and freakishly evil
    – Good and elegant

And perhaps my favourite: “Forcefully bites you” 😉
