Spanking and Brushing With the Same Hairbrush?

I have just posted an entry to The Punishment Book, it describes a hairbrush spanking I got last night. I won’t repeat the story here, but it got me thinking about a completely separate issue.
Once upon a time the idea of being spanked with my own brush seemed to me pretty odd. I mean, it has _hair_ on it. Not huge clumps and stuff – I do clean it – but still. In my early days as a spanko I felt that a spanking hairbrush needs to be a separate implement, not used for its original purpose (just like I wouldn’t want someone to walk around in a pair of slippers before taking one off to smack me with).

Nowadays, I don’t mind being spanked with a hairbrush I actually use on my hair. Well, “don’t mind” isn’t that accurate, either: I do very well mind, it hurts like the blazes. All the same, I don’t mind it in a bad way.

What do you think?

I don’t mind. In fact I’d rather. Because the purpose bought hairbrush is anique ebony and uniquely painful and horrible.

Granted, my original and much lamented C&E hairbrush, like its replacement was also bought with spanking purpose in mind. However, being modern the handle is shorter and it’s way less painful.

Which, of course accounts for it being used for spanking way less often.

Besides, there’s something rather wonderful about carrying around and / or brushing my hair in the morning something that can be so painfully.

Ha. I think, even if I didn’t want my hairbrush to be used for spanking, I would still never buy one that *couldn’t* be used like that. In case, you know, there’s an emergency, and we lost all other implements. Or something.

I too kind of think it’s a bit gross – all that hair.

This probably is one of my only OCD signs, but I clean my brush every time I use it. So it never has very much hair in it.

Lint gets caught sometimes though. Hmm.

I actually try to clean mine after each use too, but I don’t do a good job at all – the fact that my hair is at least waist-length does not help, either.

I’m afraid that back in ’05 I set off a related discussion about cooking and spanking with the same spoon. It turns out — who knew? — that Bethie and others worry about something called “butt oil”.

If you google — “butt oil” spanking spoon — you’ll get most of the discussion. 😉

    Hairbrushes. Such possibilities.

I don’t use brushes on my own hair (I have dreadlocks), but W. has long hair, and uses hairbrushes.

However. We mostly don’t use her hairbrushes for spanking, because the kind of hairbrush that works for her hair seems to be really flimsy when used for another purpose. And then I went and confessed, during a spanking in which she’d broken the hairbrush, that those brushes are very noisy and not painful at all. So if she wants that effect, she uses the *bath brush*, which has a far larger head, and is WAAAAAAY painful. I’m glad it’s moved back to the tub where it belongs!

We mostly don’t use kitchen implements for both cooking and play, because there is a definite squick factor. Sometimes, one will come into use one way or another, but mostly not. (And now, how to explain why, exactly, we have a silicone spatula in our glove box….)

My boyfriend spanks me with a wooden spoon we keep hanging in plain view in the kitchen all the time. It turns me on to have it out where everyone can see it.

Courtney – welcome to our blog, and thanks for your comment. I sooo like the idea of hanging an implement in full view of all visitors :-)
