Anne Hathaway waiting for her spanking

At the original site where Abel found this photo, it was titled “Why so glum, Anne Hathaway”?

Anne Hathaway looking sad

It’s pretty obvious to me why she’s sad: she’s about to get punished. I’d love to know the details, though.

Is she reporting to an on-set discipline officer, who holds the young stars to answer over their misdeeds?

Or is the producer dealing with her in person, because she’s been particularly bad?

I wonder.

Or is she merely waiting for her best friend, who’s being punished in the Disciplinary Centre on the other side of the street?

It must be a sign of something (growing older? living in remote places?), but I had a feeling that her name was familiar although I couldn’t quite place it. Thanks to Wikipedia for reminding me; Shakespeare’s wife. Apparently the young lady in the photograph (barely out of school given her date of birth) was raised Catholic and admired its strong values. Now I think I am beginning to see through to the story …

I think she IS waiting for her best friend… the best friend who is being punished in the Disciplinary Centre on the other side of the street… FIRST!

She is also hoping that said best friend won’t have told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about what the two of them had been up to in the young man’s house when they were supposed to have been practicing their lines like good girls :)

Mike – that’s right, the Shakespeare connection always makes me do a double take. Somebody was talking about a novel dedicated to Shakespeare’s Anne, and I was like – “Why would you write a novel about the Princess Diaries girl – oh.”

I love Anne Hathaway – I think she is totally beautiful. However, I have to love her in a purely non-sexual way as she looks a little too much like my younger sister for comfort!

So I actually hope she *isn’t* about to get punished – she’s far too lovely :-).

Lucy, nope, I’d never heard of it until Abel forwarded me the pic.
