Loved listening to the story. I think the fact that your accent was a little more prominent actually added to the flavor of it. I wish I could’ve heard the raw version with the cat. LOL
I really enjoyed hearing you read this story. The guilt element from the comp school girl was compelling, as well as the lust for the hat. Looking forward to hearing more.
I too heard a noise in the background but I thought that it was a siren but it could have been a cat.
I just hope there won’t be many more of these stories read by Haron: I can read English without any problem, but I find it extremely difficult to understand any spoken conversation. Lack of practice, I know, but I can do nothing about it.
@Ordalie: Consider SW your language lab, with Miss Haron as your English teacher. If at first you don’t understand, listen again and again – great practice for you, and finally an interesting topic 😉

What a lovely way to start the morning. Listened to this on my way to work today, thanks!
I definitely heard a hushed meow in the background, so the kitty got the last word Everything’s better with a cat.

@Haron: Wow, gorgeous story… so much implied.
Wonderful story, Haron! I loved listening to you read it as well with your sweet voice and accent.
You have a great gift for descriptions and capturing mood. Keep up the great work!
