A note from one of my team, who’s working with a major software company right now. He mentioned that they’re about to launch a new version of a very well-known software package, and that staff there are:
“beater testing it right now.”
I think he meant “beta”. But the idea of the poor girls in the programming team having to line up at the end of the working day to be caned for each error in their code really does appeal. Perhaps they could be bent over in line in the reception area at 4.55 prompt, so that colleagues could observe their punishments before heading home at 5pm?
..lol..that really makes me smile.
..sort of wish I work there…from both points of view.
