A quick hello from Budapest, where I find myself for work for the next few days – with a decent amount of time for sightseeing in between!
I just wanted to say how much I’m loving this blog at the moment. The number of comments in the past few weeks has been wonderful: it’s great to see so many of you enjoying what I write and contributing your own thoughts and ideas. So: thank you. (I actually feel a bit bad that, with a new phone and struggling to get used to a touchscreen keypad for the first time, I haven’t been able to respond as regularly or fully as I’d have liked to).
And if you’re too shy to comment in public, you can always email me. (Actually, you can always email me even if you do comment regularly: I love to chat!). As we close in on my 1,500th post, and the 2,500th post in total on the site, it’s great to see that there’s life in the old blog yet!
(In other news: it’s fascinating how, if one sits typing in an aisle seat to the rear of a plane, any passing fellow-travellers en route to the loo feel entitled to look at what one’s writing. Yes, that was an account of a maid being raped that you just saw. No, I don’t feel in the least guilty: I’m not the one looking at someone else’s laptop without permission…)
Ludwig and I visited Budapest just a few weeks ago. It’s a very beautiful city! Wishing you a great time there. Maybe you will also come across the kinky beer advertisement we saw. Of course I had to take a picture which I published on our blog. 😉

Commenting helps to enjoy a blog even more, because writing a comment forces you to become conscious of your reaction beyond a vague “I liked that” feeling. The only problem is that it eats into scarce online time. I hardly made progress digging myself through the story archive because the blog keeps distracting me. That’s not a complaint, though.
