Beanotown

Amazing what you see walking around London… The South Bank the other day had a Beano festival, for example:

I read more online, and found that it’s actually running until September:

[C]elebrate 75 years of the country’s favourite comic. Beanotown is the home of Dennis the Menace and Gnasher, The Bash Street Kids, Minnie the Minx, Roger the Dodger, plus all the other comic strip superstars from The Beano… Swot up at the Ultimate Prank Academy; discover the story of The Beano since 1938 (with top secret archival treasures on display for the first time); tuck into a slap-up feed with a personalised Beano toastie; practice using authentic slippers and and canes; grab a piece of Beano history in the special shop with exclusive new products; and snap yourself, dressed as your favourite character, in the Beanotown photo booth.

Erm, I may have added in a sentence there…

Anyone fancy a trip? (And anyone willing to accept the consequences, for a plimsoll would surely have to be packed…!)

Hmmm… yet another thing London is stealing from Scotland then!

Someone should probably be spanked for that!
