See, I thought you needed to know the result of the independence vote in advance, so I devised a little test.
Kay, bent over last night on the eve of the poll. Alternate strokes of the cane, for the ‘no’ vote. and the ever-so-Scottish tawse for ‘yes’. Whichever broke her deemed to predict the result.
And which do you think won?
Five strokes of one.
Five strokes of the other.
The sixth of the first implement breaking her.
The cane. The English implement. The ‘no’ vote.
So, there you have it. The pollsters could save all of the trouble of canvassing today. Long live the Union! (Or something like that..)

You should use Kay to predict other results – clearly she has a gift 😉 x
Faye – would you care to list any forthcoming events that you’d like to have predicted using this excellent new method? And to suggest the punishment that would be appropriate should Kay get it wrong?!! x
Hmm, FA cup final, perhaps? Or you could be really mean and do Eurovision! Although I’m not sure if there are enough implements in existence to have one for each country… x
Lol Faye, I’m sure if anyone has enough implements, it’s Abel! 😉
Also (#nerdalert – I told Abel and he made me comment it ;)) I realised on this that we even predicted the winning percentage: 5 out of 11 strokes of the tawse is 45% for yes, 6/11 of the cane is 55% for no…
