I have a very important technical question.
Do you clench your teeth when you’re spanked?
I’ve been afflicted with tooth-ache for the last couple of days, and I’ve found that apart from being annoying, it completely destroys my ability to withstand any sort of corporal punishment. Because apparently – and I’ve never noticed this before – I need to clench my teeth in order to endure pain. And now I can’t. And it hurts far too much.
I’m reminded of one of my favourite movie whipping scenes: the floggin of Johnny Rico in “Starship Troopers”. As they’re about to strap him into the whipping frame, Sergeant Zim discreetly hands him a chunk of rubber, with the words: “Bite on this, son. It will help. I know.”* Johnny obeys, though how much it helps is unknown.
But what if he had a tooth-ache that day?

* I do love Heinleinian sergeants.
No I don’t – my mouth is usually wide open to make loud cries!
I’m not sure if I clench my teeth when being spanked, but I suspect I do. I certainly do it when I’m feeling stressed out.
I do. If you’re looking for other ways to “take it” I’ve found that putting my hands over my ears to block out at least some of the noise (especially with paddles, my least favorite things ever) helps enormously. Of course that only helps if you can keep yourself from reaching back and getting your hand trapped…
Megs – that’s precisely why girls should be told that a stroke won’t count unless they stay touching their toes 😉
While I’ve only endured the one spanking so far, I noticed that a little while later, my jaw was aching, so I’m assuming that I do indeed clench my teeth. I’m assuming that it’s just part of the whole automatic muscle clenching reaction that comes along with getting a spanking.
