Misery loves company

I have suspected that Facebook may, after all, have redeeming features, and Sebastian Shakespeare in the “New Statesman” has recently discovered it:

I was once invited to join a group called Caned, which was set up on the anniversary of the abolition of corporal punishment in schools. “Were you one of the last to get a wallop? Did you deliver a walloping?” I had no intention of wearing my stripes in public. But scrolling through the comments on the group’s wall I came across Times trencherman Giles Coren’s theories on corporal punishment. “To be honest I doubt anyone who was caned would be on Facebook,” he remarked. “People that old aren’t, are they?” Well, Giles, I have news for you. I was caned and I am on Facebook.

I would like to suggest a poll: who else thinks that the person starting the group in the first place is kinky, and was looking for real-life caning accounts?

Absolutely. Indeed, I think it was Abel who started it.

I am on facebook. And I have been caned. But not at school. Or, to be accurate, not when I was actually of school age, anyway!

I think that’s pretty much a forgone conclusion. Besides… isn’t everyone in England kinky? I thought it was part of the national identity…

Gosh, perverts on facebook? Really? Well, I’d better stay away from there and hang around nice, innocent websites like this one.

I love facebook, but don’t get me started on facebook perverts. I joined a group called “I love tights” because I like tights… In a very non sexual way. I was them bombarded with random aged men asking for photos of me wearing tights.
Though to be honest I probably not in a position to critisise other FB perverts as I’m off to check out that group now…

I’m a FaceBook pervert and proud of it! I started the Fetish Photography group, and there’s quite a few members, now!

Strangely, despite being a member of every spanking and fetish group I can find, no one emails me asking for pictures of me! Evie must have run afoul of a very special group of pervs — although I’m sure she looks lovely in tights, and any rational person would like to see her in them!

I assume the “caned” group is very much like the people who write in to the papers telling stories about how shocking their childhood CP was (or CP that they witnessed) in great and loving detail. These are just mini-erotic stories, camoflaged as “isn’t this awful,” but really all about, “Oh! Isn’t this hot to contemplate!” 😉

Lol, Zille, it might have somthing to do with my profile picture being me in my ex- school uniform at a fancy dress party… (With numerous uniform infractions…) But to be honest, you would really want to avoid these perverts, they are *not* the good kind. (Not like us!)

Come on, Evie: you can’t write that and not send us the photo.

And Zille: it’s a shame no-one’s been asking for your photos. Haron and I would love to see any you’d care to forward 😉

I’ve not quite mastered Facebook but have recently been coming to terms with its business equivalent, LinkedIn. It’s cool to see the links between people. I’ve been contemplating a new site called SpankedIn, in which you can link to the people you’ve spanked over the years…

Evie — I know exactly what you mean about “good perverts” and “bad perverts.” It’s a matter of being considerate, I think. If you keep your perversion to yourself, and share it only with like-minded people (or, errr, in my case put it up on the internet — but vanilla people don’t *have to* read my blog!) then you are a good pervert. If you go around flashing innocent bystanders, or otherwise forcing your deviant tastes upon people who didn’t want to know, then you are a bad pervert! If those guys who write to you were more polite and gentlemanly (and took “no” with grace!), I’m sure you wouldn’t mind them half so much!

Abel — what pictures would you & Haron like? How about next time my Master and I do a shoot, I hold back one image just to send to you guys only…? 😀
