Well, no. Actually, they send in debt collectors instead. Which, legally, is pretty dubious. Suggesting a consensual spanking instead would be a much cleaner solution, we feel. If we’re discussing alternative methods, and everything.
How much money does it take to employ a debt collector to chase the person who pilfered a £10 magazine or a £2 chocolate bar?
Or has the definition of “petty theft” expanded to include laptops and flat screen TVs??
More on-topic, there’s not much deterrence in doing the spanking in private – it should really be out front where other potential miscreants can see what happens to shoplifters.
