So this week, it seems, marked “Love our Lurkers” day – the annual event that Bonnie kindly organises to encourage people to step from the shadows and say hello on the spanking blogs that they follow. Having participated in the scheme every year since the first LoL Day back in 2006, I feel a bit sorry to have missed out this time around.
But, in writing a belated thought, I was struck that whilst I do like my lurkers here – those of you who read but don’t comment (which is quite fine by me!) – the people I love are those of you who add their own thoughts and kind contributions to my posts. Seeing readers’ input on what I write makes blogging worthwhile; posting into a vacuum would be depressing in the extreme.
So, if you do lurk – please say hi! It’d be truly lovely to hear from you and to welcome you into the fold. And if you’ve never commented anywhere else either, I hope you can pluck up the courage to do so here: life feels better if you’re not bottling up your interests and proclivities.
And if you are someone who comments here from time-to-time – take a moment to say hi too to your fellow readers! Particularly, perhaps, if you’re someone who used to comment but doesn’t do so as often now (for lack of blog-reading time, or perhaps having migrated more to Twitter), it’d be really special to hear from you too.
Well I can’t claim to be a lurker, on this blog at least! And, whilst I was a lapsed commenter for a long time, the joys of smartphone technology have helped alleviate that
But still, what the hell, I will mark the occasion anyway by saying hi. It works just as well as a chance for us to thank bloggers like you for our entertainment too – without your efforts, journeys would be duller and the chance to interact with likeminded souls just wouldn’t be there. Both commenters and lurkers alike remain very grateful for what the kinky blogosphere brings 
Okay. Okay! I used to comment all the time and now I am one of those perverts that silently gobbles up your writing and slinks away. So, you hit my guilt button on this post and I’ll say this…I have been mighty impressed at how well you have kept up the blog daily on your own and even more impressed that your kink has evolved over the past few years and you have been so willing to catalog that here. And we do, don’t we – grow?! This is what keeps a blog fresh – that the author does grow and evolve in whatever way is right for him or her.
Whilst it was the right decision for me to stop writing for the meantime, I feel a lot of growth occurring (which is not to say that writing there isn’t hard for me because it is!). One day, hopefully, I will return to expressing that growth and fresh thought in my blog and hopefully readers will see that the break from writing did me good. What I see in your blog is the willingness to share much more of your inner thoughts now in a place where you can feel as safe as we ever can feel safe and I think that is marvellous and hopefully makes the whole process worthwhile for you as well as your readers.
You sound happy…happy with your life and happy to be writing, and that is the most important thing (even if you are shite at keeping up email correspondence…grrrr…)
….I love logging on, reading all the stuff that presses my buttons…its also about knowing that there’s so many people who think in a similar way……
life would be a much duller if blogs like this one dident exist.
Hate to think of you posting into a vacuum so constricting or dusty depending on the type. So have to thank you for subverting my ability to see anything normally and for all the trouble it gets me in to.
Gulit trip worked on me too. Blame the dark mornings but do appreciate all the effort you put into a perfect series of boosts to getting out of bed. Long may you continue !

I meant to comment on your post about the move away from blogging, a few weeks ago, but never got round to it. Blogs have been (and continue to be) of huge interest and value to me and I’d be saddened to see another one disappear.

I’m a faithful lurker of your site for a few years, but have never commented on anything. I was disappointed you didn’t have a link on her site yesterday. I enjoy your “perverting in reality” the best. I do like reading about your somewhat distracted mind while working or how easy it is to pass the time away contemplating who should be spanked and how and with what. I’m enjoying the sexual aspect of lite spankings for now, but never could forsee any type of discipline in my life. I’m a type “A” pesonality and very American (spoiled)! I would love to try role playing though. I’m not entirely into the school scenes, however on a trip to Nassau recenlty I spoted a girl in a very proper blue uniform waiting to catch the bus with her mother. It was a very poor part of town so I’m sure the mother has to work long hours to put that child through school. Anyway, you were the first person I thought of. I’ve been reading you for a year or so and have enjoyed it very much. Now you have shamed me into saying hi. Somehow I don’t think that bothers you, and thats ok. You do seem to have a weird mind, but that doesn’t bother me either. It seems to enable your writing. I do miss Haron tho. Her writing is a bit different from yours but just as good. I do hope she will return. One thing bothers me, but I guess shouldn’t, The name Haron is, I’m sure a pseudonym, but there doesn’t seem to be an H in the Cyrillic alphabet. Odd! A belated Happy LOL (or LMC) Day to you, Abel, and of course to Haron as well! I try to keep up with other blogs and to comment regularly (or at least every time I come across a post that really touches me), but maintaining a blog can be a lot of work already, so my activities on other blogs vary, depending on my workload and mood. I’m always stunned by the fact that you manage to publish a post every day! I would be burned out after a few weeks (or maybe even days).
