After chatting t’other day about the number of hits on my Tumblr page, I decided to delve a little deeper into the visitor stats for the other elements of the ‘Spanking Writers’ site.
It’s re-assuring to know that people still visit in their thousands every day – even though the blogosphere as a whole feels more and more like yesterday’s news in internet terms. But what particularly struck me was the number of visitors to my stories site. Its relaunch on 1st January comprised a fab new design by Haron, and a fair amount of new content. And, guess what? Traffic is 50% up on even the most popular month in the 12+ years of site’s previous incarnations.
So, the internet certainly is for porn, as evidenced by the success of my Tumblr page. But it’s really pleasing to see there it is still also a place for well-designed literary erotica too.
Hi, I never go to the tumblr sites. It’s the written word that I enjoy. I found your story site before the relaunch, though I have enjoyed going back and re reading some of the stories. I also love reading your ‘perverting reality’, it always makes me smile. So yes, please keep writing.
