…only, perhaps, it wasn’t just the guests who’d wander the corridors of the stately late at night, duly abused.
Take the maid of one of the visiting couples. Her master and mistress would call for her, after they’d changed for bed. They’d demand an explanation for her lackadaisical approach: the house’s butler had made a complaint, they’d say.
They’d tell her that she’d left them with no choice but to punish her. Her lady would strip her naked and take up the hairbrush; her gentleman would follow with the riding crop.
And then… would they send her back to the staff quarters? Or might they pin a girl to the bed, and both have their wicked way with her… I’m curious, dear readers, to know *quite* how twisted your minds are!
I was thinking that it would be a shame to leave the butler out of the picture given he had to suffer her poor work. Oh but then I started contemplating Lawrence so maybe the mistress of the house might have a different role
They would have their wicked way with her, of course. I would even go so far as to say that the Butler’s statement was probably a fabrication…

Clearly, more than a little twisted.
But appropriately having their way with her would require some hands on attention. Tethered to a bench while the scullery maid cleaned her out properly, and then tied to the headboards for the night, face down, while the mistress plundered her bottom, and the master deposited further treasure…
At least, that would be my take.
