It’s rare for me to tweet something and then repost it here, but this advert – seen on the side of a London telephone box – amused me so much that I wanted to make an exception:
I’m imagining a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority from a rueful young lady, noting that plimsolls are ‘shoes’ and that her slipperings – from prefects, from her father? – most certainly hurt. I’m even tempted to file a fake complaint online, just to see how the bureaucrats respond to it…!
When I first read the ad, I thought of high heels instead of the slipper. Maybe I’m not much of a spanko after all.
Haha, if you do, please make sure you share any responses with us.
I’ve never been slippered and until proven wrong, I am standing on the side of that add Creatoor.
Oh, by the way, I thought of the slippering and UK the second I read the title of the post! 😀 I laughed too, but that’s not important.
