So, Emma Jane and I are heading to the States at the weekend for a few days together in Vegas before we attend Shadow Lane, the renowned spanking gathering. It’s something I’ve long wanted to attend, having heard so much about it over the years.
Specifically, there are several friends I haven’t seen in a long while – and a couple of dear online friends I’ve not yet met in person. It’s going to be lovely to see them.
But I’m nervous, too. I’ve found previous similar events (in Ireland, in Florida) slightly overwhelming. Introvert-me can take over: I can find big groups of new people daunting and I can be far too shy to actually ask people to play with me. (How does one do that with relative strangers, even at events where it’s really rather expected, and where I’d like to?!)
Are any other readers here heading to the event? It’d be lovely to meet you if you are. (And if anyone’s attended in the past, do you have any tips on how to get the most out of the weekend?)
It’s not hard to predict that (even without Shadow Lane) a stay in Vegas will provoke a string of highly interesting fantasies for us to read about in the near future. Quite happy myself to keep my kink within my relationship and a relatively private circle of friends, I’m still curious about the experiences of people moving in the wider scene. Have a great time!
