I’ve written here over the years about the amazing Regency house party, organised by dear friends, that I’ve been lucky enough to attend on several occasions. Staying in character from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, and with much naughtiness throughout the weekend, the events really are the best roleplaying experience imaginable.
This year, the organiser is still looking for one extra staff member. (Yes! There are staff, also in role all weekend.) I thought that I’d post the details here, just in case anyone who reads the blog is interested – or knows anyone who might be. It goes without saying that all those involved are well-known to me personally, and totally trustworthy.
Here goes:
Maid or Footman Required for Disciplined Household
I am looking for a reliable and dedicated member of staff to serve at a Regency house party late in 2013. This is an unrivalled opportunity for a service-orientated submissive to serve in a traditional, disciplined yet luxurious environment.
This is a BDSM/CP event which will be run on the lines of a country house party in the Regency period, with formal dinners, dancing, walking and of course, plenty of naughty behaviour. We are seeking traditional submissives for whom domestic service is a pleasure and not a chore. We are looking for a maid (for which TV/CDs are welcome to apply) or a footman. The successful applicant will join an existing staff of four (cook, two maids and another footman).
Duties will include assisting with cooking, washing up, serving meals and drinks, waiting on ladies and gentlemen, providing ladies maid and valet services (such as helping with clothes and hair) lighting candles, preparing rooms, answering bells and generally making themselves useful.
Benefits include a fun atmosphere, great company, gorgeous food and no rough cleaning (unless you have been very bad!). Failure to provide a proper level of service will result in appropriate punishment. It is a weekend event, with long days and the current staff are looking for someone to join them who shows a willingness to work hard at the domestic chores and not merely flit around looking for punishment.
Previous experience is desirable, although training can be given and the successful applicants will enjoy immersing themselves in the dress, manners and morals of the era known as ‘The Age of Scandal’.
The staff will work under our male chef’s direction and will answer to the Mistress of the House and any other female member of the household, although it is important to note that this is a mixed event, with the house party guests consisting of dominant men and switch/submissive women.
