Benevolent or Malignant Demons… that is, school teachers

Continuing to read W.H. Auden’s biography from my previous post, I find that he wasn’t overfond of the British education system:

Every English boy of the middle class spends five years as a member of a primitive tribe ruled by benevolent or malignant demons, and then another 5 years as a citizen of a totalitarian state.

[The adults were] hairy monsters with terrifying voices and eccentric habits, completely irrational in their bouts of rage and good humour, and, it seemed, with absolute power of life and death. Those who deep in the country are a safe distance from parents spend their lives teaching little boys, behave in a way that would have them locked up in an ordinary society.

When I read in a hostory book of King John gnawing the rush-mat in his rage, it did not surprise me in the least: that was just how masters behave.

From “Auden” by Richard Davenport-Hines, p.34
Hmm… This is a little reminiscent of Abel. He doesn’t eat carpets in his rage, but you can hardly call waving sticks around rational behaviour, can you?

That wonderful kids’ TV series, “Demon Headmaster”, comes to mind…

This post demonstrates how very brave you are, Haron.
Yes, very silly, I mean, very brave, indeed!! LOL

Well I don’t know, perhaps some people would think me a little odd… but… I think that waving sticks around is very rational, very sensible and very erm… very tingle making behaviour! :) lol!

Rob – I get into FAR too much trouble to be called a suck, may have been in the teachers good books when I was really at school but have been more than making up for it since, loving every moment of it too!

Amber – Oh yes, disciplined severity works for me :)

Honestly, as a dedicated reader, I want another account of Abel spanking Haron. Hope I’m not asking for too much. Thanks :)

Amber: We ALL want that, but spare a thought for the poor girl. We may want to READ about it, but she’s the one who has to EXPERIENCE it. Given England’s result in a sport I dare not mention, and the mood that might put Abel in, I think you might not have to wait too long. (PS Posted by a girl with a distinct geographical advantage)

The question is, will Haron be writing about it ;)? Another thing is that Haron would probably like that too :).

Rob – are you in Australia or New Zealand or some place like that?

Amber: I’m in Australia. Yes, Haron probably would like it too, but you know, sometimes it’s a fine line between liking and not. Sometimes, the thought, and the afterthought is miles better than the actual event. Anyway I’m not sure it is a good idea to really admit to the liking. It pays to keep them guessing I reckon…
(Does the knowledge re Autralia help to explain my strange sense of humour?? We are very irreverant down here…)

Hi Rob, I was guessing Australia because of your Anglicized culture and your very different idea of time.

You are not to irreverent, I don’t think.

And, come on – you gonna have a spanking blog, you gotta feed people r/l spanking stories :). Doesn’t have to be the actual beating, can be a recollection of one:).

Amber: You said it, not me. I’m not going there. But I have been reading about your spankings and am wondering – are you absolutely sure J is vanilla?? I mean he is extraordinarily keen for a vanilla guy. That moment when you personally appealed for mercy and he stayed right on task (told you to look forward) sounded straight out of a schoolgirl/headmaster story. Perhaps, once a headmaster always a headmaster…

That’s very true – J. said that doing DD at home actually helps him to be a sterner teacher. He also says that dealing with me in that way is a lot like being in the high school.

Yes, he is vanilla in so far that he’d never do that unless I wanted him to, but I know that he also enjoys it, it turns him on, and he likes to make me happy, and, most importantly, he knows me and knows what I want. If I want a spanking to stop, I run away:).

Also, he’s got a very rich theater and acting background, so he can play a role very well, whatever that role is. He’s also essentially very good at anything he does because of his degree of focus and dedication, so that’s why he’s so good at being a top and or Dominant, sometimes.

Amber: Good tip – to run away! Funnily enough, I hadn’t actually thought of that. I guess subconsciously I knew that I would always be outrun. In my case, I opt for the floods of tears, dropped noisily!!

Yes, you have a big advantage with J – an acting background AND a headmaster. I bet he must wonder if he is punishing the children at all. At home you get, well you know what you get, and at school, he might say, “you have to clean up the grounds over lunch.” Big deal!!

Remember, Rob, at school it works through the care group and restricted lunch :). Who knows what he’s really thinking though. He’s a very sane person, though, so he’s no danger to his students:).

The thing with running away, though, it’s my version of the safe word, so it’s a sign that he reads as a red light.

I don’t cry whole lot, I only did a couple of times – with the cane landing on my hip and a hand strapping just recently. Wasn’t much in the way of crying, either. I think there was one other time when I cried a little and he continued spanking me, because I still wanted it, but I no longer remember distinctly.

You girls are going to feel so guilty when you read Haron’s next post…. assuming she’s sitting comfortably enough to type. Or you may just giggle. (Your wish is my command?).

Miss Helen: Although we are sympathetic to your plight, we all know that despite our very forward and provocative comments, it would have happened anyway. As Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee at Greens Farm Academy, I can assure you the Council has taken steps to bring forward the Headmaster’s Annual End of Year Review to ensure that his procedures are in line with the Council’s guidelines. I hope that you can take comfort in the fact that the Council will take all measures to ensure that discipline administered is the most effective.

Greens Farm Academy – LOL – sounds almost like a good title for the college J. is in the process of starting. Cross out the academy.

Amber: You best check that this name is not already taken. I may actually have borrowed it from a sensational little private school set in the woods of Connecticut that I visited once. (Please tell me that noone looking up the name ends up on this site reading this!!)

Plus, J. venue already has a name and exists as an entity, only now it’s a folk school.
