TFI Friday

It’s “dress down day” today in the office I’m working in at the moment. Suits shed; the catwalk begins.

As a service to our readers, I’ve been studying the latest fashions all morning. Carefully. I’m now an expert on the especially tight jeans that seem to be in vogue for the young ladies of the office. I’m copyrighting a term for the style: “Paddleable Chic”.

Needless to say, I’d like to extend the dress-down concept to encompass an occasional “undress, young lady” day. Sadly I’m not confident of support for the proposition from Human Resources.

Abel: Human Resources people can be difficult about things like that!! Face the facts: the closest you are getting to those particular girls’ bottoms is eyeing them through those tight jeans!! (I wanted to comment b/c your post is more interesting than the one about the judge and I didn’t wanting you getting paranoid on us LOL)

Ok, I’m shocked that you didn’t make a single pun about a good “dressing down.” Do you not have that expression across the sea? Over here, to “dress down” means to scold severely… Naturally, I’ve been fascinated with the phrase since I was a little kid. Surely someone of your… talents, can find better ways to pervert “dress down” day than simply undressing young ladies.

Oh how I like the idea of a Megs-style “dressing down Friday”!!!

Rob – I am a great believer in the old motto about not mixing business and pleasure, but a man’s entitled to daydream…! (That’s not to say that if anyone reading this happens to encounter me at work, and wants to out themselves to me, I wouldn’t be open to a debate about the validity of the old adage!).

Abel: We couldn’t stop you daydreaming no matter how hard we tried. I do quite a bit of it myself, I confess, so feel perfectly entitled to go on and on and on……
